TROY, MI, February 3, 2016 – Golden Heart Senior Care-Rochester Hills will host a three-day Senior Care Job Fair, February 18, 19 & 20 at its office in Troy, located at 671 E. Big Beaver Road, Suite 111.  The private duty caregiving agency has immediate part-time and full-time openings for experienced Caregivers and Client Care Managers to provide in-home, non-medical services for clients in Oakland and Macomb Counties.  Interested applicants must register for an interview time slot in advance of the Job Fair by calling Sarah at 248-469-0021, ext. #3.

Caregiver applicants must have at least three years of professional caregiving experience and training as a nurse assistant, patient care technician or medical assistant.  Current State Certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Applicants for positions as Client Care Managers must have at least five years of professional caregiving experience, at least 1 year of staff management and customer service experience, plus training as a nurse assistant or patient care technician. Current State Certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Additionally, all applicants must have current CPR and First Aid certifications; experience in working with the elderly; the ability to pass federal and local background checks, as well as a drug screen; their own reliable transportation; a valid driver’s license; current vehicle insurance; and a clean driving record.  



Caregiver responsibilities include companionship, light housekeeping, personal hygiene care (bathing, grooming, dressing), meal preparation, medication reminders, laundry, errands, walking and transferring assistance, etc.  All duties are performed in the client’s home. Starting pay for Caregivers is $10 - $10.50/hour based on experience, qualifications, references and certifications. 

Client Care Manager responsibilities include supervision of Caregivers, management of client relationships, on-call support for open shifts, preparation of client care plans and other documentation, scheduling of Caregivers, etc.  Duties are performed in the company’s Troy office and in client’s homes. Starting pay for Client Care Managers is $12.50 - $13/hour based on experience, qualifications, references and certifications.



Hours of the Golden Heart Senior Care Job Fair are 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM on February 18, 19 & 20.
