SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — An adult and two children have been hospitalized after being hurt when their ATV crashed into a house in Shelby Township.

The collision happened Tuesday night on Cardinal near 22 Mile and Van Dyke.

The homeowner says he helped lift the ATV off one of the kids before an ambulance arrived.

"Based on what I've seen and what other people have seen, they came flying down the side street there, came really fast, didn't quite turn as hard as they should have, and instead of turning down the street, went straight into the front of my house," said the homeowner.

It remains unclear if the crash was caused by mechanical or human error.

The conditions of the victims are unknown at this time.
