DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police say a child was killed, two other kids were critically injured and two adults were critically injured in a crash on Friday afternoon.
According to police, it happened on 8 Mile near Stratford around 2:04 p.m.
Police say a Dodge Challenger was driving at a high rate of speed down 8 Mile and disregarded a traffic signal, hitting a white Ford Escape and then hitting a building.
A 2-year-old boy was killed in the crash, and a 4-year-old boy and 6-year-old girl are in critical condition. A 63-year-old woman driving the Escape is in critical condition, and a 29-year-old man driving the Dodge Challenger is also in critical condition.
We're told the children were in the car with the driver of the Challenger.
