1 dead, 2 injured after shooting on Detroit's west side

DETROIT (WXYZ) — A triple shooting on Detroit's west side left one person dead and two others injured.

Police say the shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of Washburn between Buena Vista and Fullerton.

A 27-year-old man was found laying in the street at Washburn and Buena Vista. Police say he was shot multiple times and ran over by a car. Police say the second victim, a 54-year-old man, suffered a graze wound to his arm and was taken to the 10th precinct for medical treatment.

The third victim, a woman, showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. She is in serious condition.

Police say at this time, the reason or motive for the shooting is unknown. The scene stretches two to three blocks, with spent casings, police say.
