Suspect wanted in deadly hit-and-run on Detroit's east side

DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Detroit Police Department needs your help finding a suspect wanted in connection to a fatal hit-and-run accident that happened on the city’s east side.

On Monday, Nov. 16 around 10:55 p.m., a 28-year-old male victim was standing next to his vehicle in the area of E. 8 Mile & Russell, when he was struck by an unknown driver operating a gray/silver colored 2006 Dodge Durango that was traveling east on E. 8 Mile.

After the accident, the suspect continued driving and failed to stop, police say. The vehicle was last seen traveling south on Schoenherr, making a left onto Bringard Drive traveling east.

The suspect vehicle is described as a gray/silver colored 2006 Dodge Durango.
