1 dead in double shooting on Detroit's west side

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating a double shooting on the city's east side from Friday night.

On Oct. 30 around 9:50 p.m., two men – ages 25 and 26 – were standing outside talking in the 2400 block of W. Grand Street when an unknown person fired multiple shots in their direction, striking them, police say.

Both victims were privately conveyed to the hospital. Police say the 25-year-old victim was pronounced dead. The 26-year-old victim was listed in temporary serious condition.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated, according to DPD.
