Detroit police say one person has died in an accident following a chase with officers early Wednesday morning.
The chase started at Charles and Gable in the 11th precinct after police received a call that a man was threatening a woman with a gun, according to police.
Police say they arrived at the scene, but couldn't find the suspect or his car. A short time later, police say the suspect returned to the scene and then took off.
After a chase, the suspect lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree near Shoemaker, according to police. We're told the suspect died from his injuries.
