A busy intersection is back open this morning after one person was killed in a crash in Eastpointe.
Police are not saying much right now. We do know the driver of a van rear-ended another vehicle. The driver who was hit, police say, has passed away. We're told he was an older man.
We watched as a woman who appears to be the driver of the van was taken away by police at the scene. She was wearing a neck brace and bandage around her arm.
Police say the woman smelled of alcohol and then failed several field sobriety tests.
This accident happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday on Gratiot, just south of 10 Mile.
