INKSTER (WXYZ) — A 10-year-old girl was taken to a local hospital after being shot in the head inside a home Tuesday. Authorities are now looking for suspects in the shooting.
Around 10:30 p.m., there was a report of several shots fired into a home in the 26000 block of Dartmoth in Inkster, police say. According to MSP, a preliminary investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) fired two shots into the home on Dartmouth.
It has not been determined if the suspect walked or drove to the home, police are now saying.

During the shooting, the 10-year-old girl received a graze wound to the head. MSP now says the young victim was "grazed by either debris or a fragment during the shooting. The child was taken to the hospital and sustained non-life threatening injuries, police say.

The child was conscious en route to the hospital. Neighbors say they heard multiple gunshots.
