DETROIT, Mich. (WXYZ) — A 12-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted during a home invasion on Detroit's east side.
The invasion occurred at 3:37 a.m Friday morning in the 5700 block of Beaconsfield.
The 12-year-old told police that he saw an unknown man standing outside the home with a weapon, and went to the door. The assault allegedly occurred after the man entered the home. That same man pointed a gun at the 12-year-old, police said. There were two other people inside the home at the time of the invasion: a 32-year-old woman and a 65-year-old woman, according to police.
The man allegedly left the home and returned with two more men, before they went through the home, finding a pursue and other belongings. The man also asked about money and a phone in the house. That's when the suspect aimed the gun at the child, and then began searching the house for more things to steal.
One of the suspects fired a round of gunshots at the victims after leaving the house in a dark colored, smaller SUV, police said.
