A 14-year-old girl has died after being shot Thursday night on Detroit's east side, police said. Her 17-year-old brother was also shot.
It happened at about 11 p.m. at a home on the 19000 block of Waltham Street near East Seven Mile and Schoenherr Road.
Witnesses told police a vehicle pulled up and fired several shots into the home. The vehicle is believed to be a Ford Windstar minivan, possibly green or silver in color.
The girl has been identified as Jamesha McWilliams, while her 17-year-old brother is Jeffrey McWilliams. Jeffrey is in critical condition.
