The Coast Guard rescued 17 people from Lake St. Clair on Friday.

They aren't releasing the names of the people rescued.

At about 7 p.m, the Coast Guard received a call. It informed them that a boat with about 15 people on board was filling up with water, about four and a half miles from the Grosse Point Yacht Club.

The Coast Guard was able to successfully rescue each of them. All of the boaters were wearing life jackets.

No one was injured.

Later that night, two people fell into the water after their boat turned over.

A Coast Guard auxiliary crew, who witnessed the incident, rescued them. Those boaters also weren't hurt.

The Coast Guard urges you to always wear a proper-fitting life jacket when you go boating.
