WESTLAND (WXYZ) — A 19-year-old was arraigned Sunday in the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old in Westland.
Robert Shoats, 19, of Westland, was arraigned in 34th District Court on Sunday on charges of discharge in a building causing serious impairment and felony firearm in connection to a July 29 shooting.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. in the 34000 block of Richard St. The victim, Kaleb Parish, 18, died on July 31 from his injuries.
Shoats was given a $50,000, 10% bond. He's expected back in court for a probable cause conference on Aug. 11.
