WESTLAND, Mich. (WXYZ) — Westland Police are still on the scene of a fatal shooting in the area of Van Born between Inkster and Middlebelt.
The incident happened at about 8 p.m. Monday night.
Detectives say a domestic situation turned deadly after the boyfriend of a young woman living in the home was shot while trying to enter the home.
Police have two people in custody in this incident, a young woman and her father who lived at the residence.
The Wayne County Medical Examiner says the shooting victim in Westland was a 29-year-old male.
