Two Michigan State Police troopers were involved in an overnight crash in Detroit.
It happened at Fenkell and St. Mary's Street on Detroit's west side around 2 a.m. Witnesses tell 7 Action News that an SUV ran a blinking red light and slammed into the side of an MSP cruiser.
One of the troopers was injured. Both were checked out at a nearby hospital as a precaution and released.
MSP tweeted later that the driver of the SUV will be treated and taken into custody for "driving under the influence of narcotics."
An investigation is ongoing.
