DETROIT (WXYZ) — Two people are in critical condition following a shooting in Detroit overnight.
The incident happened in the 17000 block of Plymouth Road.
According to police, shots were fired at three people inside a car. The victims drove away, trying to avoid the gunfire. Shortly after, the people in the car flagged down a Dearborn Police officer in the area of W. Warren and Mansfield in Detroit.
Dearborn Police called Detroit seeking assistance, with DPD and DEMS responding around 1:49 a.m. and finding two gunshot victims in the car.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital where they are listed in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
