2 young children critically injured in hit-and-run crash in Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are searching for two people after a hit-and-run crash left two young children in critical condition and two other adults injured.

According to police, a white Corvette was heading north on Dexter when it collided into a red Dodge Charger going east on Davison. Inside the charger was a 26-year-old man, 23-year-old woman, 1-year-old girl and 8-month-old girl.

The Charger rolled several times after being hit and then hit a blue Chevy Tahoe going west on Davison.

The two children were taken to the hospital in critical condition, while their mother was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The driver of the Tahoe was taken to the hospital and is also in stable condition.

Police say the driver and passenger of the Corvette fled the scene on foot. They are still investigating.
