3-year-old boy hurt in hit-and-run accident in Detroit

Detroit police are asking for the public's help to find the suspect wanted in connection with a hit-and-run that injured a three-year-old boy.

According to police, it happened around 3:30 Saturday afternoon on Curtis Street near Prevost. That's near Outer Drive and Greenfield on the city's west side. The boy was thrown three houses down the street.

He has been identified as Dallen Clemons. He was rushed to Children's Hospital in Detroit and is expected to be okay.

Family members say Clemons is from Atlanta.  He's currently visiting his father who lives in Detroit.

Witnesses tell 7 Action News the driver was speeding in a gold or beige Chevy Malibu. A neighbor's surveillance camera captured the moment Clemons was hit.
