4 suspects charged in string of ATM thefts across metro Detroit

CANTON, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Canton Police Department with the help of several other agencies has identified and arrested four people in connection to a string of ATM thefts across metro Detroit.

According to police, they worked with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force,South Oakland Narcotic Intelligence Consortium, Dearborn, Detroit, Ferndale, Livonia and Warren police departments.

Right now, details of the investigation haven't been released, or of the crimes, but police did say four suspects have been arrested and charged.

Richard Briggs, 34, of Detroit was charged with breaking and entering a building with intent, a 10-year felony. 30-year-old Angelo Parker from Detroit was charged with breaking and entering a building with intent, a 10-year felony. Antonio Parker, 33, from Warren, was charged with breaking and entering a building with intent, a 10-year felony, and resisting and obstructing police, a 2-year felony. Anitra Ward, 20, of Hazel Park, was charged with breaking and entering a building with intent, a 10-year felony.

All were arraigned in Ferndale court on Wednesday afternoon and given a $75,000 bond.

Police said they will forward a similar investigation to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office for review.
