DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened on the city's west side overnight.
On Aug. 15 around 3:20 a.m. shots were heard fired in the area of Livernois and W. Warren, and when police arrived at the location, they saw a 51-year-old male victim was shot.
Police say medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. A weapon was also recovered at the site of the shooting.
DPD has not released any further details.
