55-year-old man struck, killed in Royal Oak Township

Michigan State Police say a man was struck and killed Thursday night while crossing 8 Mile in Royal Oak Township.

Police say the incident happened around 10:45 p.m. on W. Eight Mile and Meyers. 

The pedestrian, a 55-year-old man, was reportedly crossing the westbound lanes from the parking lot of the Royal Inn when he was struck by two vehicles.

Police say he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Both drivers stopped at the site of the accident, according to police.
