We're kicking off a new series called 7 In Your Neighborhood. Every Friday, WXYZ will be live in a new part of metro Detroit to taste, see, experience and report on your wonderful city.
For the inaugural week, we're heading to Livonia for the Michigan Fun Fest at St. Mary's Orthodox Church. Our very own Glenda Lewis will anchor live from the festival from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., highlighting the music, fresh food and family fun to be had.
We'll introduce you to a rising country star, Audrey Ray, who will be performing live at 6 p.m. Friday at the Fun Fest.
The Michigan Fun Fest runs May 30 - June 2. For a full list of musical acts, activities and food, click here.
All day-long Friday we'll be shining the spotlight on Livonia. Starting at 6 a.m. we'll take you to family-owned and operated staple in Livonia, the Daly Drive-In Restaurant.
At 6 p.m. we'll introduce you to a man dedicated to his community: Livonia Police Chief Curtis Caid. He was born, raised and served the city his whole life.
We hope you'll join us for a day-long celebration of Livonia.
