76-year-old woman robbed in Waterford senior center parking lot

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Waterford Township Police Department needs your help solving an armed robbery.

On June 3 around 10 a.m., a purse was stolen from a 76-year-old resident in the parking lot of Waterford Senior Center, located at 3621 Pontiac Lake Rd., police say.

Police say the suspect followed the victim into the parking lot and grabbed her purse out of her hands as she left her vehicle.

The suspect is described as a man who is approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and 170 pounds. He left the scene in a old white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. Police say the truck has rust along the bottom of both sides, a bug guard on the front hood and a black plastic piece hanging on the bottom right side below the bumper.
