UPDATE: Missing 82-year-old man living with Alzheimer’s in Ferndale found safe

FERNDALE, Mich. (WXYZ) — Ferndale Police say an 82-year-old man living with Alzheimer's has been found safe.

On May 28 around 7:30 p.m., Ferndale Police responded to a call to investigate a report of a missing 82-year-old man from the south west section of the city.

Officers responded and learned that Joe Lemelin had walked away from the family home in the 1400 block of LeRoy without anyone noticing.

Police say Lemelin was found and happily reunited with his family.
