A rash of wild coyote sightings has a suburban community in Auburn Hills on alert.
Witnesses say the coyotes are comfortable around people.
In a recent video taken behind the American Legion near Churchill and Auburn, a coyote is seen emerging from the woods.
Witnesses tell 7 Action News other coyotes have also been spotted in the area.
The city posted a warning on Facebook, telling residents to be extra careful not to leave children or pets unsupervised.
The mayor told the photographer who shot the video that the Department of Natural Resources would get involved, possibly on Monday, to address the coyotes.
Until then, people are asked to remain cautious.
