Abuse survivor Rachel Denhollander shares story of hope to students

(WXYZ) — She was the first to speak out about the despicable and criminal actions against hundreds of innocent victims, all at the hands of the former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University team doctor Larry Nassar.

Thursday, 35-year-old Rachel Denhollander shared her story of survival in Metro Detroit.

Rache spoke openly and honestly, and had incredible conversations with students at Seaholm High School.

She later took to the podium as the the keynote speaker for Care House of Oakland County’s 24th Annual Circle of Friends luncheon at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.

That is where 7 Action News Reporter Andrea Isom sat down with Rachel, one-on-one.
