(WXYZ) — All lanes on westbound I-94 at Moross on Detroit's east side have reopened Thursday following a freeway shooting investigation.
Around 2:45 a.m., troopers responded to westbound I-94 and Chalmers for a shooting, according to MSP. The caller told troopers he was westbound in the right lane when a black SUV started shooting at him.
According to MSP, the caller said he didn't know why he was targeted. He then exited the freeway and drove to the fifth precinct.
Troopers closed the freeway early Thursday morning for evidence search, but say they did not find any shell casings.
After further interviewing with the caller, MSP says the person "became uncooperative and decided not to pursue this incident."
UPDATE: Troopers did not locate any evidence on the freeway. During interviews with the caller they became uncooperative and decided not to pursue this incident. It appears that this did not take place on the freeway. This investigation is closed. pic.twitter.com/oTPheTSrJS
