Canton's Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery has had its cemetery and crematory registrations suspended by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

The ongoing investigation determined that the cemetery is allegedly improperly storing remains of more than 300 infants and fetuses in multiple crypts.
LARA says the violations pose an imminent threat and violate Michigan's Public Health and Occupational Code.
The cemetery now cannot perform any new cemetery and crematory services, but it is allowed to provide services, burial or entombment space, or cemetery merchandise that fulfills the terms of any existing contracts or invoices.
The cemetery also cannot bury or cremate the more than 300 fetuses and infant remains found, LARA says.
