(WXYZ) — Nearly half of Michigan divorces end amicably, according to a new study.
Researchers with USAWillGuru.com, a provider of will and testament information, surveyed 5,000 divorcees and found 48 percent of Michiganders said their breakup ended on good terms after being asked if they had experienced an amicable breakup.
This is roughly in line with the national average of 45 percent, according to the survey.
In fact, more than one in 10 Michiganders – or 14 percent – have included ex-spouses in their wills.
On the other hand, Nevadans were the least likely to go through a harmonius breakup with only 15 percent citing they ended their relationship on amicable terms. In comparison, people from Utah had the highest percentage of amicable breakups in America with 79 percent of survey respondents saying this was the case.
