(WXYZ) — Distribution of emergency supplies continues this week for Wayne County residents hit hard by flash flooding during the first week of May.

The piles of trash that came following last week's floods are gone – now, attention turns to homes.

Basements were flooded, many with more than 2 feet of water. In some cases, residents said they didn't have a basement, meaning their main floors took the brunt of the damage.

On Monday, the American Red Cross will mobilize response vehicles to help. Cleaning supplies like bleach, gloves, mops, trash bags, masks and more will be distributed to affected areas including Dearborn Heights, Lincoln Park and Inkster.
