Here we go again!
It is another round of winter weather starting as snow and then changing to an icy mix of freezing rain, freezing drizzle and sleet before getting warm enough to become just rain.
The amounts of snow and ice won't be very high this time, but the combination and timing will be enough to create problems for both the morning and evening drives.
The morning drive will be slow and slick around and south of I-94 in Wayne, Washtenaw, Lenawee and Monroe counties. Snow will be falling during the morning drive with some sticking to the roads. There will be a change to light freezing rain or freezing drizzle by midnight in Lanawee and Monroe counties and by late morning in Wayne and Washtenaw counties. These same areas will be warm enough to not have anything more than wet roads during the evening drive Wednesday. North of Detroit the roads will have very little of anything on them for the morning drive.
The evening drive will most likely be a little slippery north of M-59 and especially around I-69 because temps stay below freezing for most of the day and there still could be freezing rain or freezing drizzle during the evening rush. This will be on top of some light snow from earlier in the day. There should only be wet roads around Detroit and south because temps will be above freezing this late in the day.
