An Ann Arbor man who lost more than 300 pounds after appearing on ABC's "The Doctors" is sent back to Michigan with thousands of dollars in aid to continue his journey.
Jermaine Gause first appeared on the daytime show in 2016. He weighted 639 pounds. Doctors said the 37-year-old had an enlarged liver and his health was in jeopardy.
For a year, the Michigan resident stayed at a fitness retreat in Los Angeles and worked out and ate healthy. He lost more than 300 pounds.
This week, The Doctors had Jermaine on the show and surprised him with $2,500 in healthy groceries, an 18-month membership to Orangetheory Fitness, a new wardrobe and free excess skin removal surgery by Great Lakes Plastic Surgery Center.
