(WXYZ) — A study ranked Ann Arbor and Royal Oak in the best 30 places in the U.S to open a brewery in 2019.
According to the Brewers Association, the number of craft breweries in the U.S. has grown from just under 1,500 in 2007 to more than 7,000 as of July 2018.
Royal Oak scored at number eight, while Ann Arbor stood at number 28.
The city of Somerville in Massachusetts made number one on the list.
The ranking considers factors such as the drinking age population of each city and brewery license fees, along with median income and the amount of breweries currently open.
