It’s the day many superhero fans have been waiting for!

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has made its debut—and now there’s an app to go along with the movie.

With filming locations in Detroit, the movie could act as a billboard for tourism in the Mitten. That's why the Michigan Film and Digital Media Office is working to keep the buzz surrounding our state alive with a special mobile app.

The Batman v Superman Tour app helps movie buffs and avid travelers alike take a little mobile journey around the city of Detroit.

It’s essentially an interactive map of the shooting locations from the film. The app also lets you earn rewards and watch videos while you tour.

The map displays 12 different spots where crews filmed, giving background on the properties and scenes you’ll catch in the flick.

“The city of Detroit in particular has benefited greatly in recent times from welcoming film productions to our streets, yet there is still an untapped opportunity to connect film production and tourism in our state that this app provides: cost-effective promotion while engaging users to explore Michigan,” stated Jenell Leonard, commissioner of Michigan Film & Digital Media Office, in a press release.

The app was developed by Grand Rapids company Mutually Human and is now available on iOS.
