Aretha Franklin stage-worn dresses, hats & more up for auction

Dozens of Aretha Franklin's stage-worn dresses, hats and accessories will hit the auction block on Saturday in New York. Over 30 dresses and accessories worn by the late Grammy winner will be part of Julien's Auctions' two-day Icons & Idols: Rock-n-Roll taking place Friday and Saturday.

The auction will take place live from Hard Rock Cafe in New York City and also online at JuliensLive.com.

If you want to bid online, you have to register ahead of time at the Julien's Auction registration page.

There are four ways to auction:

  1.  Bid through Julien's Auctions Online Live in Real Time at JuliensLive.com.
  2. Bid over the telephone through an auction house representative.
  3. Submit a bid in person at the Hard Rock Café.
  4. Enter Absentee bids. Absentee bid forms are included in the back of each catalogue, and are also available by calling Julien's Auctions or online at www.juliensauctions.com.
