This week’s Around Town has some family friendly events talking place, even some for our furry friends.

The Michigan Humane Society’s 13th annual Mega March is a three-day family fun event.

On Friday evening, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., bring your dogs to Batch Brewing in Corktown.

There you can register for one of the walks this weekend and drink a grapefruit IPA, $2 from every pint will benefit the organization.

Then Saturday, head to Kensington Metropark in Milford for the walk that starts at 10 a.m.

Sunday, you can go to the Detroit Riverwalk's Cullen Plaza for the second walk, also starting at 10 a.m.

It doesn’t take much to participate.

“There is no registration fee and T-shirts are included when you register for the Mega March this time around, so we are encouraging folks to fundraise, but if you just want to come hang out and make a small donation on your own, you are more than welcome to do so,” said Anna Chrisman of the Michigan Humane Society.
