Around Town: Pop-up markets open in downtown Detroit this weekend

Posted

Downtown Detroit Markets pop-up markets will be open just in time for the tree lighting ceremony.

It kicks off the season at noon Friday.

Tee Capel of the 1441 Woodward Collective said, “Very unique products that you probably won’t find anywhere.”

You will find about 30 vendors in Cadillac Square, Capital Park and 1441 Woodward Collective.

“Jewelry made locally, we’re talking upcycled greeting cards made from trash found around metro Detroit, we’re talking T-shirt brands that represent Detroit, candle goods that are poured right here in Detroit,” Capel explained. “Great place to do holiday shopping.”

Products range from things that are big and small, affordable and one-of-a-kind since they are all from local businesses.

The Collective will be open until late December and the other two locations will stick around until January.

“Anything you can think of, you’ll find it between the three markets.”
