DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of a cab driver. The incident happened May 25 on the city's west side.
According to police, the driver of a Dodge Caravan cab was found dead from a gunshot wound in the 600 block of Collingwood. The 54-year-old driver was unresponsive with a wound to his body, police say. When medics arrived, he was pronounced dead.
A homicide investigation followed, leading to the identification of a suspect.
Police say the suspect, a 35-year-old man, was taken into custody Wednesday, May 29 in the 10600 block of Lakepointe.
A warrant review is pending with the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
