DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit have arrested a man in connection to a non-fatal shooting that happened outside a Coney Island on New Year's day.
The name of the suspect has not yet been released pending his arraignment.
The shooting happened Wednesday, Jan. 1 around 3: 53 a.m. A 22-year-old woman was shot during a verbal altercation with the male suspect.
The argument started inside the Coney Island in the 13600 block of Grand River. When the two involved moved outside, the victim tried leaving the location in a silver Hyundai Sonata. The suspect then fired shots, striking the woman in the body, police say.
The woman left the loation and called 911.
