Long road trips don’t have to be boring for your passengers.
AT&T is bringing your friends the ability to surf the web on the open road.
The ZTE Mobley is the company’s first vehicle plug-in Wi-Fi hotspot.
Users just plug the device into their vehicle’s on-board diagnostics port. The vehicle will then power the ZTE Mobley creating a WiFi connection in seconds.
AT&T says it will work with most vehicles 1996 and newer.
The company also notes that there is no need to turn the hotspot on or off—Wi-Fi is on when the car is on.
The device allows up to five connections on AT&T's 4G LTE network.
The ZTE Mobley will be available in stores starting on September 11 for $0 and a two-year agreement or $100 with no annual commitment.
