(WXYZ) — The average gas price in metro Detroit and Michigan dropped below $2 per gallon this week.
According to AAA Michigan, the average price in the state is down 5 cents compared to last week to $1.95 per gallon. That's also 12 cents less than this time last month and 52 cents less than this time last year.
In metro Detroit, prices are down 2 cents to $1.99 per gallon. That's 55 cents cheaper than this time last year.
