A standoff situation that has been unfolding in Detroit has come to an end. However, police are stills searching for the suspects thought to be inside the home.
Police set up a perimeter around a house in the 1240 block of Wheelock this morning. Earlier, officers were searching the area for individuals wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Redford Township.
Three individuals were involved in the armed robbery of a woman early this morning in Redford. Her purse and cash were stolen.
Michigan State Police gave chase. The car the suspects were driving in was apparently ditched about a block from the house of Wheelock, which is where one of the suspects ran.
It is apparently where he stays and he surrendered there.
Police thought one of two of the others were also in the home. They are either hiding - or were once there and somehow got away. It is also possible they were never in the house to begin with.
