A police standoff is over after an armed suspect barricaded himself inside a building near Grand River and Winston on the city's west side.
The suspect reportedly threatening suicide by cop. He was taken into custody and transported to a mental health facility.
Another person was detained, but was not considered a suspect. The suspect is in his 40s. He was in the military and was reportedly off medication for depression. He has military training and weapons.
It is believed that the incident stems from a domestic situation.
Grand River was shut down as a safety precaution.
