A sure sign that spring is here... Oberon is back!
The West Michigan-based Bell’s Brewery produces Oberon only for the spring and summer months. Bars across metro Detroit have begun serving up the Michigan favorite.
Over the past several years, the summer brew’s release has been made into an event at spots throughout Michigan. A list on the Bell’s website even provides the names and locations of spots that held special midnight celebrations or events marking the first Oberon pours of the season.
Oberon beer is sometimes served with a slice of orange. The brewery describes it as, “A wheat ale fermented with Bell's signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas.”
In addition to being available on tap at many Michigan bars today, Bell’s Oberon has also begun to make its way into area stores.
