(WXYZ) — The National Weather Service said that below-average temperatures which arrived overnight in metro Detroit will continue through early next week.

According to NWS Detroit, the coldest temperatures will arrive this weekend and near the end of the week.

Freeze and frost headlines will be likely, and lows near the end of the week could be in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

That's a drastic difference from the weekend, which saw 70s and sun for metro Detroit.
