Michigan State Police say a bicyclist was hit and killed while riding on the MacArthur Bridge on Sunday night.
According to police, the 28-year-old was hit by a Dodge Caliber around 9 p.m. Sunday night. We're told the Caliber was driving south onto Belle Isle when it hit the man.
Police say the bicyclist was thrown onto the windshield of the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital with critical injuries but later died from those injuries.
The crash investigation continues, and according to police, marijuana may be a factor in the crash. They did add that alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
