Shain Park will come alive once again with the city of Birmingham's 8th annual Birmingham Winter Markt event this weekend.
Opening night is Friday, Dec. 1. That's when a 35-foot blue spruce is set to light up in more than 40,000 LED lights.
In addition to the tree lighting ceremony, those in attendance can enjoy German food and drinks and browse more than fifty different venders for gift items and holiday crafts.
Entertainment includes ice carving demonstrations, live reindeer, horse-drawn carriage rides, carolers, and more!
There will also be a children's activity area to keep the kids happy.
