(WXYZ) — The Armada-based Blake Farms and Michigan-based Cupcake Station have partnered to create the brand Bakehouse 46. The joint venture offers baked goods and other products.
“We specifically sought out Cupcake Station for this collaboration because of its stellar quality and reputation,” said Andrew Blake, president of Blake Family Companies. “Combining our expertise and experience, we are confident the end result and creation of Bakehouse46 will bring something new to the marketplace.”
The new partnership means that all Cupcake Station locations will now go by the name Bakehouse46, and the first location will be in Birmingham at 136 N. Old Woodward Ave., which opened Feb. 18.
“This partnership gave us the opportunity to evolve and create beyond cupcakes,” said Todd Gildersleeve, Managing Partner, Cupcake Station and Bakehouse46. “It’s a win-win for both our loyal Cupcake Station customers who can still get our outstanding cupcakes and appeal to new customers and fans of Blake’s who will appreciate the expanded array of sweet treats and baked goods.”
By year's end, the other four locations in Ann Arbor, Ferndale, Plymouth and Rochester, will be turned into Bakehouse46 stores, according to a release.
