Michigan State University Police say a body was found on campus in East Lansing Wednesday morning, but they do not believe there is any threat to the community.

According to a post on the MSU Police Facebook page, the body was discovered in a heavily wooded area near the Baker Woodlot on the south side of campus around 11:40 a.m.

Police say the cause and manner of death are still under investigation.

Investigators are also working to positively identify the remains.

Foul play is not suspected, police said.
