SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) — The body of 88-year-old Robert James Brunsden Sr. was found Sunday afternoon in a river in Southfield near Telegraph, his family confirmed on Facebook.

"It is with a heavy heart that I must report to you that early this afternoon my father's body was recovered," wrote Brunsden's son Bob on the Facebook group "Help us find Bob Brunsden Sr."
Brunsden Sr., who had dementia and Alzheimer's, walked away from the Franklin Terrace Memory Care Facility on Saturday, Sept. 7.
